FHSS Makes Wireless Video Data Link Much More Secure And Resistant To Interference

FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) is a wireless communications technology designed to make signals more secure and resistant to interference.

The principle is that transmitter and receiver synchronously jump between multiple frequencies based on the pre-agreed pseudo-random sequence.

The advantages of FHSS including strong anti-interference ability, good confidentiality, and can coexist with other narrow-band systems.

Advantages:

• Strong Anti-interference ability: If a specific frequency is interfered by noise or jamming signals, the wireless video data transmission will only be affected for a very short time. Then it will quickly jump to a clear frequency to continues stable signal communication. So it can effectively resist narrowband interference and deliberate jamming.
• Security and low probability of interception: For receivers that don’t know the frequency hopping pattern, the FHSS signal carries short-duration, meaningless impulse noise, making it difficult to intercept or jam.
• Frequency diversity: By spreading signals over a wide bandwidth,FHSS technology naturally overcomes the fading that affects a single frequency, thereby improving the reliability of the wireless video data link.

Applications:

Due to its balance of performance in terms of performance, cost and reliability, FHSS technology has been widely used in both military and commercial fields.
