Overview

The HNC1 self-organizing IP Mesh radio network enables long range, decentralized communication among a large number of nodes. All nodes can communicate independently without interference.

The system supports access for densely distributed nodes, enabling wireless transmission, dynamic networking and flexible reconfiguration. It features full multiplexing communication where nodes can simultaneously send and receive data from all other nodes without interference.

The HNC1 IP mesh network supports large-scale node access, multi-hop self-organizing networks with 500mW transmission power, -114dBm sensitivity, effective data transmission rates up to 735kbps, and 2ms ultra-low latency.

Applications include swarm drones, Internet of Things, data links, remote control, data collection, artificial intelligence, and military equipment.

The J30JZ-9PIN connector can be assembled as TTL3.3V or RS232 UART port or RS422 UART port.

M1 Dipswitch

M1 and M0 (M0 PIN of J30JZ-9PIN connector) signals control the radio operating mode.

Operating Modes

The radio supports two modes:

  1. Configuration Mode
  2. Data Transparent Transmission Mode

Mode selection is determined by M0 and M1 voltage levels. When levels differ, the system enters configuration mode. When levels match, it operates in transparent mode. Internal pull-ups default to transparent mode.

Configuration mode is activated when M0 is suspended and M1 dip switch is set to "C". Transparent mode is activated when M1 is set to "D". Mode switching occurs in real-time without system restart.

Configuration Mode Details

In configuration mode, the radio only responds to configuration commands and doesn't transmit serial data. The UART port operates at fixed 9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity. Only local configuration parameters can be modified.

Transparent Transmission Mode Details

In transparent mode, configuration packets trigger parameter updates while other data is transmitted wirelessly. Both local and remote parameter configurations are supported.
